Hello and welcome to Pigott’s Playpen! Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my babies.
My name is Jorja Pigott. I was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas by my mom—whom I absolutely adore—since the age of five. In May of 2000, I made North Carolina my home. I am the proud mother of three wonderful sons, blessed with a beautiful daughter-in-love, and the very grateful grandmother of four precious grandchildren. My husband, Mike, and my family have been incredibly patient and supportive as I’ve followed my artistic dreams. When I’m not creating, you’ll find me spending time with family—on the soccer field, at the lake, at church, or at home enjoying board games together. I am a strong believer in God, family, and faithful friendships.
I grew up a tomboy, so playing with dolls came a bit later for me. I often joke that I’m reliving my childhood through these babies. My sister introduced me to the art of reborning in February of 2005, and I was instantly hooked. While I had always been the “crafty” type, this art form spoke to me on a deeper level. After a few years in the reborning community, I began dreaming of sculpting babies of my own.
In February of 2009, when the reborning market slowed due to the economy, I saw an opportunity. I purchased sculpting DVDs and supplies and eagerly began learning. After completing my very first sculpt, I knew I had found my passion. I couldn’t wait to create more.
I absolutely love sculpting babies and continually strive to improve realism in expression and pose. There is something incredibly fulfilling about watching a piece of clay transform into a sweet little baby—knowing it came entirely from my own hands. Newborns change so quickly, and we often find ourselves longing for those fleeting expressions and delicate features. My goal is to capture those moments and preserve them in each of my sculpts. Just like real babies, I want my work to draw people in with beauty and innocence and to celebrate the art of sculpting and reborning. I hope collectors feel proud to own a sculpt created by me.
I LOVE working with silicone. I have been painting silicone since 2010, beginning with my first silicone, Lauren, as well as a few mini dolls, Later I began painting silicone work for other artists as well. I have always loved painting silicone and experimenting with color. In late 2019, I decided to take on the challenge of molding and pouring my own silicone pieces. When COVID slowed vinyl shipping, it gave me the time and space to fully focus on this new adventure.
As of December 2025, I have poured 15 Full Body Silicone editions, 3 Partial Silicone editions and 3 mini animals. One of the things I love most about working with silicone is the ability to create my own custom base colors, allowing each piece to be truly unique.
Thank you for being here and for supporting my art.
Truly,
Jorja Pigott
